TOMORROW @ 10AM: Congressional Hearing to Examine the DHS Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Office Mission and Budget Request
(WASHINGTON) – Tomorrow, July 16th, the Subcommittee on Emergency Preparedness, Response, and Recovery, chaired by Rep. Val Demings (D-FL), will hold a virtual hearing to learn more about the Department of Homeland Security’s Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Office (CWMD) and its mission to identify, deter, and detect chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and health security threats. This hearing will provide an opportunity for Members of the Subcommittee to inquire about CWMD’s ability to effectively fulfill its mission and CWMD’s Fiscal Year 2022 budget request.
